"In recent years, St. Louisans have been dancing to the rockabilly and honky-tonk country of Scott Kay and the Continentals. The band has mastered the sound of the 1950s, from the heartache of Lefty Frizell to the uproarious delight of the young Elvis Presley. But Kay and his band mates have announced their decision to split up in September. With just a handful of gigs left, fans have only a few chances to appreciate the band's energy and commitment to old styles, and its ability to turn what it's learned into original material."
- Steve Pick, Music Critic for St. Louis Post Dispatch

"One of St. Louis' most logical 21st-century heirs to the '50s' sun-burned explosion, Scott Kay & The Continentals are capable of delivering scrappy, devil-may-care Rock 'n Roll. Propelled by Kay's emotionally resonant songwriting and striking voice - a perfectly weathered rasp that erupts every time it grazes the ceiling of his vocal range - carries his band's sets to impressive heights. An unsurpassable combination for those who like to drink while they're dancing."
- Beatle Bob, Music Critic for InsideStl.com

"Scott Kay has an original songwriting voice, one that builds on the rockabilly classics, but ambles down its own path."
- Steve Pick, Music Critic for the St. Louis Post Dispatch

"Solid new honkytonkabilly"
- Roy Kasten, Music Critic for the Riverfront Times

"DANCE, DANCE, DANCE !!!!!!!!!!!!"

SCOTT KAY AND THE CONTINENTALS is a St. Louis, Missouri band defining its niche in the ever-expanding world of rockabilly and Americana music. Honored with a 2006 St. Louis Music Award for "Best Americana Band," the band has also been featured on the Greaser's Lunchbox radio show in St. Louis, the Rockabilly Moodswing radio show in Kansas City, and has shared the stage with several touring acts including the Blasters, Big Sandy and his Fly-Rite Boys, Deke Dickerson, Junior Brown, Wanda Jackson, and the "Brown-Eyed Handsome Man" himself, Chuck Berry. The 2006 self-titled CD release, Scott Kay and the Continentals, demonstrates the versatility, range, musicianship, and raw energy the band is known for.

SCOTT KAY AND THE CONTINENTALS' music conjures up the sights and sounds of smoke-filled honky tonks, 50's diners, Texas ice houses, and Memphis barbecue joints. Upon attending a Scott Kay and the Continentals show, it is very common to see swing dancers, greasers, country two-steppers, honky tonkers, club kids, and old-time rock-n-rollers boppin' to the same beat. Along with an extensive list of club dates, Scott Kay and the Continentals play for weddings, corporate events, outdoor festivals, private parties, barn dances, and pig roasts.
